1. Hefty Gyros
Topping the list is Hefty Gyros. Typically located at 1100 Richard Blvd. in the River District, the Greek spot is the highest rated food truck in Sacramento, boasting five stars out of 415 reviews on Yelp. (You can find its current location at its Facebook page.)
It's especially well-liked for its chicken pita gyros and its Hefty Fries: crinkle-cut french fries topped with both hot sauce and ranch dressing. They're available in gyro form as well. The truck also serves generous rice platters and desserts like baklava.
2. Chando's Tacos
Next up is North Sacramento's Chando's Tacos, situated at 863 Arden Way. With 4.5 stars out of 1,753 reviews on Yelp, the stationary taqueria has proven to be a local favorite.
