Frio Creamery

A newcomer to Central Lawrenceville, Frio Creamery serves up ice cream, milkshakes and other frozen treats. Located at 4127 Butler St., it's been well-received thus far: it's got a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.

The shop offers a rotating cast of 12 ice cream flavors from Penn State Berkey Creamery, which are served in waffle cones or as simple scoops. Or get a decadent milkshake topped with candy pieces, sprinkles, whipped cream and more.

Brush Nail Studio recently opened at 731 Filbert St., Floor 3 in Shadyside. Yelpers are fans of Brush Nail Studio: it's got five stars out of 17 reviews, so far.

This full-service nail salon offers nail repair, nail art, manicures and pedicures, French tips and acrylic fill-ins as well as foot massages and callus removal.

Yelper Emilia W. wrote, "Coming here has actually improved my life. I'm hard to convince of change but the friendly, professional and skilled staff convinced me of the benefits of gel manicures and pedicures. I followed their advice and never went back to regular."

This spot's simple menu includes hot dogs, chili dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken strips and fries.
