BeWild: Skiing the Alaska Family with Andrew McLean

Stop by to hear ski mountaineer Andrew McLean speak about his backcountry explorations. McLean was the first person to successfully ski all three peaks in the Alaska Family, which include Mount Denali, Sultana and Hunter. McLean and his family currently reside in Park City, Utah, but his adventures have taken him all around the world with stops including Antarctica, Iran and Baffin Island. Since 2015, McLean has focused on preserving the environment and guiding tours.

When: Thursday, Sept. 20, 7-9 p.m.

Sail Awake: Second Anniversary Party

To mark its two-year anniversary, the never-before-danced-in Salish Explorer is inviting guests to partake in its birthday celebration. As it is an early-morning get-together, expect healthy food options, caffeinated beverages, a dance party and three yoga classes to choose from.

When: Friday, Sept. 21, 5:45-8:45 a.m.
Where: Docks at Argosy Seattle Waterfront ticket booth, 1101 Alaskan Way, Pier 55
Admission: $25 dance only (6:45-8:45 a.m.); $35 yoga with dance (5:45-8:45 a.m.). More ticket options available.

Reggae music from Clinton Fearon and Boogie Brown Band 

Born in Jamaica, Clinton Fearon is a reggae composer, songwriter, singer and musician. He has been been working with music professionally since he was 19 years old. He moved to Seattle and formed the Boogie Brown Band. His music comes from the heart and features poetic lyrics.

The show for those 21 and over includes performances from Seattle-based reggae band Irie Lights and DJ Miss Ashley. 

When: Saturday, Sept. 22, 8 p.m.-2 a.m.
