A new casual Korean eatery has opened for business in downtown Columbia. The new arrival, called Bonchon, is located in the TENm.flats apartment complex at 10100 Twin Rivers Road, Suite C-123.

The international chain has outlets across the U.S., Asia and the Middle East, where it serves its signature Korean fried chicken, available in soy garlic, spicy or half-and-half flavors. Other Korean dishes include bibimbap, bulgogi and japchae, while fusion options include Korean tacos, kimchi coleslaw and the house fried rice.

With a 4.5-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp so far, Bonchon seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Maria T., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 22, wrote, "This new location is nicely decorated, with spacious seating and a bar with TVs for sports. I steered from the chicken today and got tofu bibimbap. Tofu was fried perfectly."

Yelper Rick G. added, “The menu was a delightful spread of fried chicken drums, wings and tenders but also salads, pork buns, Korean tacos, and much more. There's something for everyone!”

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Bonchon is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
