Regeneration Arcade Bar and Pizzeria

Regeneration Arcade Bar and Pizzeria features dozens of classic arcade games and pinball machines. Players can refuel with bar bites and pizza.

Games include Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat 2, Galaga, Space Invaders, The Simpsons, Gauntlet Dark Legacy and many more. Customers pay a flat entrance fee for unlimited access to play. (See the list here.)

For drinks, the bar serves local beers, wines and house cocktails. Cocktails include the Mario Mojito (mint raspberry, tequila, lime and ginger beer) and the Ninja Turtle (rum, spiced rum, melon liquor and pineapple).

The business is getting positive feedback so far, with a four-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Kris B., who reviewed it on Sept. 7, wrote, "Super fun cool place! They just opened a couple weeks ago and have all the different classic games you could imagine. It's great to have a place like this in this area. They even have the classic Nintendo, N64 and a Sega. ...  There is also a pizza joint in this place, and pizza and liquor is always a great combo."

Chaterine C. added, "Staff is very friendly, made terrific drinks and when we had an issue with one of the pinball machines, they fixed it immediately. $10 entry and then unlimited free games."

Picolé Pops

Picolé Pops is a spot to score frozen popsicles. It has another location in the Bishop Arts District.

The pops are handcrafted, Brazilian-style pops that are filled with fruits and cream. Some are even infused with alcohol. Flavors include Mango Margarita with Chamoy, Coconut with Chocolate Truffle, Cappuccino with Dulce de Leche filling and more.

It has four reviews on Yelp thus far, which gives it five stars.

Carmela D., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on Aug. 28, wrote, "I just wanted something refreshing and light, so I went with the strawberry lemonade flavor. However, wanting to also know what the banana Nutella pop tasted like, I convinced my husband to get that one for himself. Both were delicious!"

Tamara P. added, "What's exceptional about this place is their filled popsicles — the combinations are decadent and it's amazing how the fillings maintain a liquid consistency in their thick popsicle shells."

Kolache Donuts

Kolache Donuts specializes in breakfast items, including doughnuts and coffee. You'll see menu items like the apple fritter, jalapeño cheese sausage roll, breakfast burrito, croissant sandwich, cinnamon roll and eclair.

For doughnuts, look for options like cake, blueberry, chocolate, sprinkles, glazed, buttermilk and more.

With a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has gotten a good response.

Yelper Kinhchhoung Y., who was the first to review it on Aug. 27, wrote, “I went downtown the other day and stopped by this doughnut store. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Highly recommended to everyone! The girl who works there is very friendly and she treats you with nothing but the best."

New addition Poke O serves up bowls of the Hawaiian dish and features an outdoor patio. Inside, it showcases local art by displaying an ever-changing selection of pieces on its color-lighted wall panels.

You can either build your own poke bowl or choose from its signature bowls, the latter of which include the Mediterranean Salmon (couscous, avocado, yellow radish, pineapple, bell pepper, mint, sesame seeds and chili lime sauce) and the Tex Mex Shrimp (white rice, avocado, roasted corn, red onions, cilantro, red bell pepper, mango, onion and Sriracha matcha sauce). Poke O has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.

Bianca L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Sept. 9, wrote, "Today was our first time trying poke and it was delicious! We had the shrimp poke bowl. The staff were very friendly and the food was very fresh."

Yelper Matthew K. added, “The ambiance, freshness of the ingredients and overall food quality were all excellent. I especially liked the size of the fish chunks and their array of sauces, especially the spicy ponzu."
