Smart SA Datathon Q&A Event

This Q&A event is a prelude to the open data competition that CivTechSA will host in October. The event will go over the upcoming Datathon Competition, answer questions and give more information on the prizes. Attendees will be able to speak with experts from the City of San Antonio, the San Antonio River Authority, CPS Energy, VIA Metropolitan Transit and the San Antonio Water System.
The competition is for developers, engineers, data scientists, tech experts and civic technologists to collaborate and discover innovative insights into three main areas: transportation, access to city services and sustainability.
You're invited to attend whether you're planning to participate or simply find the topics interesting.

Pure Barre Huebner Commons Pop-Up

Pure Barre Huebner Commons continues its cross-training pop-up series by visiting San Antonio Running Company. Attendees will partake in a 50-minute barre workout, then get a chance to talk with representatives from both companies and learn more about cross-training.
Champagne will be provided after the workout. You're advised to bring a yoga mat, towel and comfortable workout clothes.

STEM Expo 2018

The STEM Expo is a Girl Scout event that promotes science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It's open to friends, family, girls and boys of all ages. The event will have vendors, food trucks and plenty of live demos.
When: Saturday, Sept. 15, 1-4 p.m.

International Flavors of San Antonio: Filipino Cuisine

This cooking class series will explore the flavors of the Philippines, including influencing cuisines, such as Spanish, Chinese, Mexican and American. It will also go over Filipino culture and customs.
On the menu will be Lumpia Shanghai (petite Filipino egg rolls), Pancit Bihon with chicken (Filipino stir-fry with lo mein noodles), Chicken Adobo (the Philippines' national dish) and more.
