Craving sandwiches? You're in luck: a new eatery has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Ike's Love & Sandwiches, the fresh arrival is located at 1420 16th St., Suite 100, in downtown Sacramento.
This newcomer is part of a rapidly expanding regional chain based out of San Francisco; it now has over 40 locations throughout California.
Come try sandwich specialties like the Madison Bumgarner with steak, Ike's yellow barbecue, habanero sauce, American and pepper jack cheese; or the Pilgrim — a sandwich consisting of vegan turkey, cranberry sauce, Sriracha and cheddar. (You can check out the full menu here.)
The new arrival has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.
Tiffani S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Sept. 4, wrote, "Welcome to Sacramento Ike's! We ordered the Madison Bumgarner and the Ménage à Trois. Both were yummy and made very well."
