If you've got American-style Chinese fare on your mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Located at 2362 Fruitridge Road in Mangan Park, the newcomer is called Jen Kitchen.
Menu offerings include seafood varieties like sweet-and-sour fish and walnut shrimp, as well as classics such as orange chicken, Peking pork and vegetable egg foo young.
Thirsty? An assortment of beverages are on offer as well, including smoothies, soft drinks and Hong Kong-style milk tea.
The new arrival has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 38 reviews on Yelp.
Ella K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 27, wrote, "Y'all, this is my new favorite Chinese food take out. I say take out, cause inside it ain't pretty. But the food is. And delicious!"
"The hot and sour soup had a really nice kick to it," added Yelper Courtney P. "And the amount of food they give you for the price is unreal. The noodles were fresh and the rice was cooked well."
