Craving poke? You're in luck: a new eatery has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Just Poke, the fresh arrival is located at 744 N. 34th St. in Fremont. This is its seventh outpost in the Seattle area.
Build your own poke bowl at this counter-service spot by choosing a base of rice, salad or a combination of both, and then selecting a protein, add-ons and a sauce. Proteins include raw ahi tuna, salmon and scallops, and warm options like seared ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp and octopus.
Can't make up your mind? Try a signature bowl from the list of menu options, such as the Dynamite with spicy ahi tuna, shrimp, spicy crab, jalapeños and cucumbers, or the Pike Place with salmon, onion, cucumber, garlic edamame and sesame seeds. Here's the menu.
The newcomer has made a good impression thus far, with a four-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
Alex C., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 23, wrote, "I work in the nearby area and a friend brought me to Just Poke. It was so good I came back the next day to try something new! ... The staff was also super friendly and helpful with me being new."
And David P. wrote, "Portions are huge but prices are reasonable for what you get. Space is beautiful but seating is somewhat limited."
Just Poke is open from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. Monday–Saturday and 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Sunday.
