A new cafe has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The fresh arrival to Congress Park, called The French Press, is located at 3504 E. 12th Ave. It has three other locations in Colorado.
Serving breakfast, brunch, coffee, tea and more, the new cafe offers menu items like the spicy chorizo bennie (toasted English muffin, cherry pepper puree, sliced chorizo, poached eggs and sautéed artichoke hearts topped with hollandaise); the Guinness-stewed corned beef hash served with two eggs; and the almond tres leches French toast (battered brioche in a syrup of crushed almonds and three types of milk). With a 4.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh arrival has been warmly received by patrons.
Rebecca M., who reviewed the new spot on Aug. 31, wrote, "I had the veggie hash and an iced tea. Super good! I've never had this offering before and my plate didn't lie. It was scraped clean when I was done. The hash had so much flavor."
Yelper Lisa F. added, "The interior is modern, comfortable and — as expected given its newness — super clean. The menu is very large and on the left side of the wall as you walk in and is a bit overwhelming, so grab a paper menu at the front to help you."
