A second Sacramento-area outpost of local California breakfast and lunch chain Huckleberry's has debuted at 10000 Fairway Drive, Suite 170 (near Costco). The Creole-themed spot has both classic and Southern-inflected versions of American comfort food breakfasts.
For instance, its stuffed French toast with sweet vanilla cream wouldn't be out of place at any greasy spoon in the country, but the Mardi Gras beignets (deep-fried dough fritters) served with huckleberry, peach and strawberry fruit topping are New Orleans-inspired house specialty.
Heartier fare like sandwiches, burgers, crab cakes Benedict or the Creole style catfish served over jambalaya rice is also on the menu. (You can check out the full menu here.)
The Roseville Huckleberry's has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp.
"Our server was very attentive and kept the coffee flowing. Food came out fast and was tasty and we will be coming back," wrote Trish E., calling the Cajun Benedict, "Ragin' Cajun deliciousness!"
Yelper Cartrina C. added, "Went to eat here at the wrong time due to their grand opening, but overall food was great and employees were friendly."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Huckleberry's is open from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. daily.
