2923 Thousand Oaks, Suite 5

New eatery Zily Bites specializes in Brazilian street food, such as sandwiches, coxinha (croquettes) and more.
Menu options include the chicken coxinha, the bauru sandwich (ham and cheese with oregano and tomato) and the pão de queijo (yucca cheese bread), along with sides like french fries and mandioca frita (fried yucca). Finish your meal with some Brazilian espresso and chocolate truffles. (See the full menu here.)
With a 4.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Yvette S., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 18, wrote, "The sandwiches were all very nice. They have a good deli slicer it seems and they cut the tomatoes really jazzy as well. ... The croquettes we ordered were deep fried and filled with chicken and cheese. Had an herb kind of flavor and the Brazilian breads we ordered as a appetizer to share were made of yucca and cheese."
Caesar V. added, "This is one awesome place for a quick Brazilian bite for sure — love it! It just opened and if you're in for something new and not the typical stuff you find in San Antonio, this is it."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Zily Bites is open from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Sunday.
Roadmap Brewing Co.
723 N. Alamo St.

New to downtown, Roadmap Brewing Co. features rotating taps of craft brews, games to keep you entertained and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Try the Ballyseede (an Irish red ale with toasted caramel and malt flavors), the Smucker's Night Out (a Belgian saison with raspberry) or the Obligatory (a German-style light ale).
The new brewery has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp.
Stacy E., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 17, wrote, "I like all the beers, but my favorite is the jalapeño milk stout because it's a different type of taste but once you have a sip you want to keep drinking. They have two ordering places. You can sit at the bar or take a seat from their many wood tables, which are comfortable to sit at."
Yelper Mary G. added, "I'm happy to see San Antonio's craft beer community growing! Love the open floor plan and giant windows. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere was great for social gatherings."
