
Looking to satisfy your appetite for French cuisine? Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best high-end French restaurants around Seattle, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of the best spots to venture when cravings strike.
1. RN74

Topping the list is RN74, which features locally sourced, seasonal fare and an extensive wine list. Located at 1433 Fourth Ave. in the Joshua Green Building, it is the highest-rated upscale French restaurant in Seattle, boasting four stars out of 985 reviews on Yelp.
RN74 comes courtesy of the Mina Group, from award-winning chef Michael Mina. The downtown Seattle restaurant's kitchen is helmed by executive chef Thomas Griese.
Start off with appetizers like beef tartare, Hudson Valley foie gras terrine and escargots à la bordelaise. Main dishes include Alaskan halibut bouillabaisse, king salmon and a ribeye steak with duck fat frites. Thirsty? There are a number of libations on offer. 2. Pomerol

Next up is Fremont's Pomerol, situated at 127 N. 36th St. With 4.5 stars out of 203 reviews on Yelp, the French spot has proven to be a local favorite for those looking to indulge. Open since 2014, the restaurant serves French dishes made with Northwest ingredients and features a wood-fired grill.
On the menu, offerings include confit chicken wings; bouillabaisse with mussels, clams and octopus jus; and pan-roasted chicken with lardon, vichy carrots and golden raisins.
3. Copine

Ballard's Copine, located at 6460 24th Ave. NW, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the fancy New American and French spot 4.5 stars out of 150 reviews.
This restaurant has been open since September 2016 and is helmed by Shaun McCrain and Jill Kinney, formerly of Book Bindery. The name of the restaurant is French for "pal," or "girlfriend," according to The Seattle Times.

4. Place Pigalle

Place Pigalle, a French spot in Pike Market, is another pricey go-to, with four stars out of 440 Yelp reviews. Head over to 81 Pike St. to see for yourself.
Lunch is served until 3 p.m. daily and dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. Appetizers, soups and seasonal large plates and entrees are on offer. Start with the octopus and country sausage or steamed mussels pigalle. For dinner, notable choices include rabbit roulade, duck breast, scallops and rack of lamb with wild mushroom demi-glace. Then there's Georgian Restaurant, which has earned four stars out of 322 reviews on Yelp. Treat yourself at the tea room and French and New American spot by heading over to the Fairmont Olympic Hotel at 411 University St.
Now celebrating its 25th year rated as a AAA 4 Diamond restaurant, Georgian Restaurant focuses on contemporary and seasonal Pacific Northwest cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
