Back to School Bash

First up, DC Carolina Club — the resource for Tar Heels in town — is hosting a party. The free Back to School Bash will take place at Buffalo Billiards in Dupont Circle, as UNC football takes on Miami on the big screens. There will be raffle prizes, Blue Cups and more.

AFL Grand Final Party

Next, support the DC Eagles Football Club and its mission to promote Aussie rules football through your presence at Buffalo Billiards on Friday. There, TVs will show the West Coast Eagles taking on the Collingwood Magpies in the AFL Grand Final. There will be drink specials from the Lost Rhino Brewing Company. The game starts at 12:30 a.m.

OCU Peace Ride 2018

Next is Pedal for Peace, a daylong community event hosted by One Common Unity (OCU), a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit whose mission is to break cycles of violence and build compassionate, healthy communities through the transformative power of music, arts and peace education.
This is an opportunity to enjoy a beautiful cycling route (you can also run or walk the route), participate in yoga classes or attend wellness and interactive art workshops. In addition, there will be live music and poetry performances led by OCU students and special guests.
When: Saturday, Sept. 29, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Where: The National Mall, 23rd Street Northwest and Constitution Avenue NW

Yoga on the Riverfront with Fitbit Local

Finally, join DC's top fitness trainers as they lead a free all-levels yoga flow and core workout at the Yards Park boardwalk. Ownership of a Fitbit device is not required to participate. Bring a yoga mat.
