Coffee and wine fans, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. Called The Ministry, the new arrival is located at 601 New Jersey Ave. NW downtown.

Sisters Elisa and Lourdes Bennaton are behind this new shop on the ground floor of an office building across from Georgetown Law School.

There are fresh-baked breads and pastries, alongside avocado and other toasts. Small bites include prosciutto-wrapped dates, Brazilian cheese bread and fried Brussels sprouts. The coffee is from Maryland's Ceremony Coffee, and comes in espresso and batch brew options.

Libations are also on offer, including sparkling and still wines by the glass or bottle, plus ciders from D.C.'s Supreme Core.

With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new wine bar seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Eileen C., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 4, wrote, "This is a great spot for coffee, wine, muffins and avocado toasts. I love the bright and inviting decor. This is right across from the Georgetown Law Center. I can already see students coming here to get their java while hitting the books. The Ministry also offers free Wi-Fi for guests."

And Alyssa C. wrote, "I love local coffee shops and am thrilled there is now one so close to my office. It has a cute vibe and a lot of potential."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: The Ministry is open from 7 a.m.–9 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m.–9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. on Sunday.
