Looking for a new spot for pizza? You're in luck: Seattle-based mini chain Zeeks Pizza has opened its doors at 1702 Pacific Ave. in downtown Tacoma. It's in the space that was formerly home to Elemental Pizza.

Where Elemental used a wood-fired oven for its thin-crust pies, Zeeks has installed a larger-scale deck oven that can cook up to two dozen pizzas at a time, allowing the business to offer delivery, according to the News Tribune.

The new pizzeria offers a long list of available toppings from veggies like artichoke hearts and portobello mushrooms to meats like prosciutto and Thai chicken. On the menu, specialty pies are organized by base (tomato sauce, olive oil and creative) and include Hawaiian (Canadian bacon and pineapple), Frog Belly Green (pesto, tomato and Parmesan) and Veggie Thai with a peanut sauce base.

Zeeks also features a selection of craft beers and a full bar.

It has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Jennifer J., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 9, wrote, "They have a full bar here, and an impressive selection of local taps too. I opted for a mini pizza, Hawaiian-style. It was good, but pretty pricey if you ask me. But the taste was on point for sure."

Yelper Katiedawn V. added, “Amazing crust! I was sad to hear Elemental sold, but Zeeks crust is the best I have ever had. It's crispy and flavorful. So many options to choose from, and the bar menu is classic with a unique touch.”

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Zeeks Pizza is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
