A new spot to score small-batch coffee has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Located downtown at 731 15th St. NW, the fresh addition is called Zeke's Coffee of DC. It has another Washington outpost in the Brookland area.
The Baltimore-based coffee roastery specializes in organic, fair trade and sustainable Arabica beans. It features both single-origin varietals and custom blends, like the Roundhouse Blend of bright Colombian, full-bodied Sumatra and fruity Ethiopian beans. They're available in espresso, cold brew, pour overs, French press and other in-house formats, or get a pound to go.
A handful of sandwiches, pastries and snack boxes are on hand to pair with your beverage.
With a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh arrival seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Laura O., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 12, wrote, "I always love getting Zeke's Coffee at DuPont farmers market on Sundays, and so I was happy to learn they'd be getting a new location in McPherson Square. The space itself is not large, but there's seating inside and outside (picnic tables) with plenty of room."
Yelper Austin G. added, “Zeke's roasts their own beans and now brews it at their first downtown DC location. They have drip coffee, lattes, cold brew and more. I stopped in for a nitrobrew and it was good.”
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Zeke's Coffee of DC is open from 7 a.m.–6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m.–3 p.m. on weekends.
