10th Annual Detroit Fall Beer Festival

This weekend, sip and sample from a variety of craft beers at one of the largest all-Michigan beer tastings in the state at Eastern Market. Tickets to the Michigan Brewers Guild's 10th annual Detroit Fall Beer Festival include 15 tasting tokens. These tokens can be exchanged for 3-ounce samples of over 800 locally crafted beers from more than 110 Michigan breweries.
Local musicians will perform onstage and a selection of food from Detroit-area brewpubs and restaurants will be available for attendees to purchase.
When: Friday, Oct. 26, 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 1-6 p.m.

Admission: $40 Friday; $45 Saturday; $5 designated driver.

End the Violence: She is Someone’s Daughter

Help bring awareness and support the stand against domestic violence at the End the Violence: She is Someone’s Daughter event, this Friday. Guests are asked to bring new purses that have beauty and hygiene items for the holiday purse project, old cellphones and small electronics that will be recycled or sold to help benefit the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The speakers at the event include Wayne County Chief Circuit Judge Robert J. Colombo Jr. and Judge Daniel Palmer. There will also be a spoken word performance by Anita Caprice.

Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired
