Rock the Core Cider Festival

First up, celebrate the humble apple at Rock the Core, a festival of cider and music that will be held at the Eagle Bank Club at Audi Field. Your ticket gains you an unlimited amount of cider and craft beer tastings, a chance to demonstrate your skills at lawn games and free registration to the Taste of DC. There will also be food trucks and a local artisan market on hand.

Howard University Homecoming – The Yard Day Party

Next, it's time for homecoming at Howard University, and that means DJs and dancing at Barcode. Nineties hip-hop, R&B, reggae and house music will fill the outdoor patio. There'll be an open bar from 5-6 p.m., then drink specials until 7 p.m. A full dinner menu will also be available. This event is for those 21 and older.

Throwback Costume Party with Trina

Also part of Howard's homecoming is this throwback costume party at Howard Theatre. Guests are invited to compete for cash prizes for representation of musical stars, group or duo. Think: Janet Jackson, Rick James, Run DMC or Salt-N-Pepa. Hip-hop artist Trina will perform live.

The Bentzen Ball & Eaton Workshop Presents: Couples Therapy Live!

Finally, join Naomi Ekperigin and Andy Beckerman for a free live recording of their Couple Therapy podcast at the Eaton Hotel. The show mixes live stand-up sets with deep dives into the relationships between comedian couples and friends. It's part of the Bentzen Ball Comedy Festival, which also features the likes of Tig Navaro, Amanda Seales and Phoebe Robinson.
