First up is this fundraiser for the Brashear Association at The Brew House. It's the 101st annual meeting of the philanthropic group created in 1917 to honor the humanitarian work of renowned scientist John A. Brashear. There will be hors d'oeuvres, beverages and a special performance by Iron City Circus Arts.

Cocktails with a Conscience: Single Mom Defined

Next, Repair the World: Pittsburgh invites you to the free event, "Cocktails with a Conscience: Single Mom Defined." There will be lots of entertainment, including the Single Mom Defined art exhibit, a DJ, a singer and advocacy activity in support of Paid Leave for PA.
Sales from the cash bar will benefit more than a dozen organizations serving single mothers in the Pittsburgh region.

Candy From Strangers: A Jamburgh Halloween

Also on Friday night is this concert with local jam band The Clock Reads. Your ticket includes an open bar, free snacks, live painting and a costume contest. It will take place at Salem's Event Center. Boston's Strange Machines will open.

Icarus Witch Album Release Party

Finally, celebrate the release of the new album "Goodbye Cruel World" from local heavy metal stalwarts Icarus Witch. The evening at Get Hip Record Store will feature live music from the band, plus an album listening session with behind-the-scenes stories about the songs. Drinks and snacks will be available.
