A brand-new go-kart racing facility and arcade has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 5527 N. Loop 1604 West, the new addition is called Andretti Indoor Karting & Games. This is the first Texas outpost for the Georgia-based business.
Offering arcade games, go-karts, bowling, laser tag, a ropes course with zip line and more under one roof, it also provides a cafe that serves up burgers, sandwiches, brick-oven pizza and traditional American fare.
The 100,000-square-foot space features a three-level go-kart course that "sports multiple hairpin turns and straightaways," My San Antonio reports.
Andretti Indoor Karting & Games has a three-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.
Monique R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 6, wrote, "The [go kart] race lasts seven minutes, but it actually feels like much longer. The race team was very friendly with the directions. The racing was a bunch of fun! Speeds up to 45 mph and really fun curves."
