
Food trends come and go. So how can you tell which tastes are trending right now?
We took a data-driven look at the question, using Yelp to deduce which restaurants have been most discussed this month.
To find out who made the list, we looked at Seattle businesses on Yelp by category and counted how many reviews each received. Rather than compare them based on number of reviews alone, we calculated a percentage increase in reviews over the past month.
Read on to see which spots are getting plenty of attention this autumn.
Zane + Wylie's Seattle Steakhouse

Open since May, this bar and steakhouse is trending compared to other businesses categorized as "bars" on Yelp.
Citywide, bars saw review counts increase by a median of 1.7 percent over the past month, but Zane + Wylie's Seattle Steakhouse saw a 20.4 percent increase, maintaining a strong four-star rating throughout.
It's not the only trending outlier in the bar category: R & M Dessert Bar has seen a 12 percent increase in reviews, and Sal Y Limon and Girin Korean Ssam Bar have seen 15.8 and 3.5 percent increases, respectively.
Located in Belltown at 624 Olive Way, Zane + Wylie's Seattle Steakhouse offers upscale offerings such as caviar pie, Neah Bay halibut and jumbo wild shrimp. A wide variety of libations are also available to pair with your fare. Here's the full menu.
Duke's Seafood & Chowder

Whether or not you've been hearing buzz about West Seattle's Duke's Seafood & Chowder, the well-established restaurant on the waterfront is a hot topic according to Yelp review data. The business operates several restaurants in the area and offers sustainably sourced seafood.
While businesses categorized as "seafood" on Yelp increased their review counts by a median of 1.6 percent over the past month, Duke's Seafood & Chowder bagged a 2.2 percent increase in reviews within that timeframe, maintaining a mixed 3.5-star rating.
Duke's Alki Beach restaurant, at 2516 Alki Ave. SW, offers menu options like coconut-encrusted prawns, wild Alaskan salmon sliders, its award-winning chowder and whitefish tacos with cucumber, pico de gallo, napa cabbage, mango salsa, wasabi aioli and fried plantains.
The Moo Bar

Belltown's The Moo Bar is also making waves. Open since October 2017 at 2124 Westlake Ave., the spot to score desserts, bubble tea and coffee has seen a 7.7 percent bump in reviews over the last month, compared to a median review increase of 3.3 percent for all businesses tagged "coffee & tea" on Yelp.
