A new spot to score coffee, tea and more has debuted in the neighborhood. Called The Village Cafe, the new arrival is located at 1272 Fifth St. NE in the Union Market district.

Locally sourced food and drinks from aspiring entrepreneurs are at the heart of what you'll find at The Village Cafe. Offering salads, sandwiches, hot and cold beverages, and more, diners can try items such as blueberry basil lemonade or apple cranberry pecan salad.

The Village Cafe has garnered rave reviews thus far on Yelp, with a perfect five-star rating out of three reviews.

Sheryl S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 18, wrote, "The avocado toast was delicious — very slightly spicy avocado and ripe, tasty tomatoes. Definitely a great breakfast treat."

Yelper Vanessa Y. wrote, "It's a great little cafe attached to a bookstore, with great drinks and food. I had the steak and cheese [on ciabatta], which was super tasty, and the blueberry lemonade ... so amazing."
