If you wanted to be taken out to the ball game but couldn't score tickets, all is not lost. There are plenty of top-notch sports bars in Milwaukee to catch the World Series, all of which have more to offer than your typical stadium hot dog, nachos and overpriced beer.
Using Yelp data and our own methodology, Hoodline crunched the numbers to come up with the best sports bars where you can view baseball's biggest series.
1. Points East Pub
Topping the list is Points East Pub. Located at 1501 N. Jackson St. on the Lower East Side, it is the highest rated sports bar in Milwaukee, boasting four stars out of 249 reviews on Yelp.
Known for its award-winning chicken wings, the bar also has more than two-dozen beers on tap plus an extensive list of whiskeys and vodkas on offer.
Yelpers rave about the bar's game day atmosphere. Benjamin J. wrote, "The chicken wings are incredible. Great place to watch a game, friendly bartenders, good vibes."
2. Who's On Third
Next up is downtown's Who's On Third, situated at 1007 N. Old World Third St. With four stars out of 186 reviews on Yelp, the classic American sports pub has proven to be a local favorite.
Watch the game from one of several large TVs throughout the space or on the 120-inch projection screen, while munching on snacks like cinnamon pretzel bites and Wisconsin cheese curds.
3. Red Lion Pub
Lower East Side's Red Lion Pub, located at 1850 N. Water St., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the British-themed pub and sports bar four stars out of 89 reviews.
It features happy hour from 3-6 p.m. seven days a week plus daily specials. On game day, look for elevated pub fare like chicken curry, build-your-own poutine or a grilled cheese sandwich on top of tomato soup. (You can see the specials and menu here.)
4. Kelly's Bleachers
Then there's Kelly's Bleachers, which has earned four stars out of 69 reviews on Yelp. You can find the sports bar at 5218 W. Bluemound Road in Story Hill.
The local staple, which has plenty of TVs tuned to sports, has been serving the Milwaukee area for more than three decades and is open 365 days a year. Fill up on burgers and snacks like Brew Town onion rings and mini corn dogs.
