Coffee shops continue to pop up in the district. The latest is Bluestone Lane, located downtown at 1150 Connecticut Ave. NW near Dupont Circle.

The Australian-inspired coffeehouse also has outposts throughout New York City and Pennsylvania. The chain operates another location in Georgetown and a cafe in the West End.

You'll find an Australian sense of community and hospitality, along with an Australian approach to coffee — like flat whites and long blacks — plus brunch options like toasts and healthy bowls.

The shop features lots of indoor and outdoor seating and shares a space with yoga studio CorePower Yoga.

With a 3.5-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, Bluestone Lane has gotten a good response.

Ali M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 10, wrote, "This place is gorgeous, huge windows and the decoration is beautiful and inviting. I ordered the beet latte, which sounded interesting and it did not disappoint. Note: they are cashless."

Yelper Vishal S. added, “The staff seems to be ready and prepared for helping their customers on day one. The store is bright and welcoming with all the glass. The avocado toast here is on my top five list.”

Bluestone Lane is open 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday–Friday and 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
