A new brewery has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Town Brewing Company, the new addition is located at 800 Grandin Road in Charlotte's FreeMoreWest neighborhood.

On the drinks menu, check out the Broken-Tarted, a session sour with raspberry and hibiscus; the Escape Plan with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, geraniums and pine; and Emotional Support Badger with notes of toasted bread, caramel and just a hint of roast. (Find the full menu here.)

Pair your drinks with bites like pimento cheese toast with green tomato chutney on sourdough bread; a veggie flatbread with house-herbed ricotta and roasted seasonal veggies; and chickpea salad with balsamic oil, Italian herb blend, tomato and feta cheese.

With a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, the new brewery seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Eric M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Sept. 29, wrote, "The place was nice and inviting, with dogs and children to boot. The last beer we both had was the Trit with coffee as a pint. The flavor was good and the experience was very pleasant."

Yelper Jason L. added, “This place has character and has a good atmosphere. Great space indoors and out. Last but obviously not least, the beer is great.”

Head on over to check it out: Town Brewing Company is open from 4–10 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 2–11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Tuesday.)
