Training for Balance
411 Sixth St.

Training for Balance is an innovative Pilates spot that comes courtesy of personal trainer and former women's body builder Carla McDonough, who conducts a unique workout "designed to strengthen, tighten and tone the body quickly and safely."
The regiment is a fusion between Pilates, cardio and strength training, complete with energetic music and a private atmosphere.
With a five-star Yelp rating out of nine reviews, the new establishment has been getting positive attention.
Yelper Jen B., who reviewed Training for Balance on Sept. 15, wrote, "Outstanding! The owner, Carla, is totally committed to helping every person who comes to her studio. ... The atmosphere is amazing, and she provides a workout that will benefit both your body and mind."
"Carla has applied all her experience in body building at her new state-of-the-art studio," added Yelper Gary P. "This is the place to go to achieve your physical fitness goals with Carla providing you guidance and knowledge."
Training for Balance is open from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. on Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m.–3 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
CorePower Yoga

CorePower Yoga has a current rating of 4.5 stars out of three reviews on Yelp.
Yelper Grace L., who visited the yoga studio on Aug. 14, wrote, "New location! Very clean and classes at peak times aren't full. ... The instructors are great!"
And Raquel M. noted, "Great new location! Class was not so full and very clean. Will definitely come back!"
CorePower Yoga is open from 6 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
Sasha Strength Training

Sasha Strength Training is a fitness studio offering hands-on training and invigorating workouts, with classes such as dance cardio, kickboxing and weights.
Billing itself as "the 'BEST' female training facility in the San Fernando Valley," the studio says it's an ideal place for women to work out, combining "motivation, community and female empowerment."

Yelpers are excited about Sasha Strength Training, which currently holds five stars out of 14 reviews.
Ninfa Y., who reviewed it on July 26, wrote, "Sasha will push you hard and that's because she knows that you are capable of doing it. If you have injuries, she will provide you with alternative workouts. I recently completed her 22-day program and I am extremely happy with my results."

BECOME Fitness and Strength is a personal training spot owned and operated by Eder Saul, a personal trainer who believes that "exercise, proper nutrition, and rest are the cornerstones of a happy state of being," says the business on its website.
Sessions are designed with you in mind, whether your goal is to improve overall health, develop muscle mass, increase energy or recover from injury.
BECOME Fitness and Strength currently holds five stars out of 22 reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.
Yelper Raj M., who reviewed the new spot on June 11, wrote, "Eder is a great trainer. If you're looking to build strength as well as gain an awareness of correct form, Eder is your man!"
"Eder is an excellent trainer who helped me build strength the correct way," shared Yelper Phil D. "He is big on form and has a great feel for how much he can push you. He has a great depth of knowledge regarding strength training, mobility and nutrition."
