October 6 is National Noodle Day, and if you'd like to celebrate with a bowl of pasta, a new neighborhood Italian joint has you covered. Cacio is located at 7600 Greenhaven Drive, Suite 23 in the Pocket area, and is the project of married couple Jonathan Kersieck and Katie Kinner-Kerksieck, per the Bee.

Small dishes include meatballs and sauce or roasted beet salad. For pastas, look for an orecchiette with broccoli rabe and house made Italian pork sausage; and of course, the eponymous cacio e pepe, a Roman dish of bucatini pasta, cheese, oil and black pepper. (You can check out the full menu here.)

The new noodle joint has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of 26 reviews on Yelp.

"This is food I'd expect to get in midtown and not in sleepy Pocket," wrote Jeff H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 28. "Excellent service, exquisite food, wonderful experience."

And Monique H. agreed about the food, but recommended, "I would definitely recommend a reservation or at least call beforehand since seating is limited."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Cacio is open from 11:30 a.m.–2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday and Monday.)
