Topping the list is Seoul Food Meat Company, which unites Korean flavors with Southern-style barbecue fare. Located at 1400 S. Church St., Suite A, in downtown Charlotte, the fusion eatery is the highest-rated barbecue joint in Charlotte, boasting four stars out of 804 reviews on Yelp. 

Look for tacos stuffed with kimchi pork, fat brisket bulgogi, pulled pork and fried fish. Protein options like crispy pork belly, hickory pulled pork, soy pork spare ribs and more are also available. Round out your meal with sides such as kimchi mayo slaw, pimento corn cheese and bao buns. 

2. McKoy's Smokehouse & Saloon

Next up is McKoy's Smokehouse & Saloon, situated at 4630 Old Pineville Road. With four stars out of 553 reviews on Yelp, the Southern spot, which offers barbecue and chicken wings, has proven to be a local favorite.

The restaurant comes from the owners of next-door eatery Seoul Food Meat Company. Expect all-you-can-eat barbecue, where you cook your meat and vegetable selections at the tabletop stove. Offerings range from fatty beef brisket and red pepper pork belly to king oyster mushrooms and corn cheese.
