A new addition to West 7th, Sweet Science Ice Cream is located at 928 Seventh St. West in the Keg and Case Market Food Hall. It has another scoop shop at the Como Lakeside Pavilion.

Sweet Science uses locally sourced and organic ingredients to create its small batch ice cream, per its website. Expect flavors like Pecan Pie, Dark Chocolate Sorbet, Smoked Honey Vanilla, Olive Oil, Roasted Banana and more. See the full flavor list here.

Wander over to 1141 Rice St. in North End and you'll find Krungthep Thai, a new family-owned Thai restaurant. Named for the modern term for Bangkok, this spot serves up authentic Thai dishes.

The extensive menu features rice and noodle dishes, seafood, pasta, stir-fried selections and combination platters. Noteworthy options include pineapple curry with coconut milk, bell peppers and red curry paste; Nam Tok Roasted Duck with shallots, lemongrass, cilantro and mint; and barbecued pork with rice. ChaYes Tea

ChaYes Tea is a new spot for bubble tea and shaved ice that recently opened its doors at 738 University Ave. West in Summit-University.

Stop by for flavored teas, milk teas and smoothies in flavors like kiwi, mint, rose and strawberry. Tea options include the Pretty In Pink (rose green tea and vanilla); the spot's signature Sereni tea (mango and lavender); and Peach Blossom (peach and rose green tea).

In the mood for a treat? Try the Bing Bowl, a shaved ice dessert topped with fruit and sauces like chocolate or condensed milk.

Mi Casa Su Casa Filipino Mexican Eatery recently made its debut at 383 University Ave. West in Thomas Dale.

At the fusion restaurant, the menu features tacos, burritos, sope, quesadillas and tortas along with lumpia and sisig (slow-cooked pig head sautéed with onion and spices).
