The Red Boat is an Asian fusion spot that's located at 440 Crain Highway North. The local mini-chain features both Vietnamese and Korean flavors, often in the same dish.

Vietnamese spring rolls are available with traditional shrimp and tofu or with Korean bugolgi beef. Likewise, the Korean beef can be added to a vermicelli noodle bowl or to the banh mi in place of lemongrass chicken or tofu.

A different type of fusion is on display with the kimchi french fries and Vietnamese- or Korean-style hot dogs. Pretty much only the phở is created in the traditional manner.

So far, it's been well-received: it's got a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.

At this new studio, she applies makeup and eyelash extensions, and also offers lessons on how to be your own at-home makeup expert. Sessions are by appointment only.

It specializes in seafood. Think crabcakes, fried and stuffed shrimp, sautéed mussels, raw oysters, seafood jambalaya and more. You'll also find steaks, po'boys, flatbreads and hamburgers.
