Want to discover the freshest new spots in Cambridge? From a casual Greek restaurant to a modern beer hall, read on for a rundown of the newest destinations to land near you.
Saloniki Greek

Wander over to 24 Dunster St. in Harvard Square and you'll find Saloniki Greek. This is one of two outlets for this inexpensive sandwich shop from James Beard Award-winner Jody Adams (Trade, Porto).
You'll find classic combos like the Herc, made with braised honey-garlic pork, whipped feta, Greek fries, veggies, and spicy slaw, or the Niko, which is lemon-oregano grilled chicken, tzatziki and house sauce. Get each in a pita or as a platter with pita on the side and rice. Desserts include loukoumades, Greek yogurt and baklava.
Beat Brew Hall

Also in Harvard Square, there's Beat Brew Hall at 13 Brattle St. Formerly Beat Brasserie, the new edition trades the tables-for-two and chandelier lighting for long communal-style tables and string lights as it moves to a more casual, European-style beer hall atmosphere.
Look for more than 20 beers on tap from the U.S. and around the world, plus a gastropub menu, live music and games like billiards.
Sheger Cafe

Lastly, new to 2376 Massachusetts Ave. in North Cambridge is Sheger Cafe. It's an Ethiopian restaurant operated by the owner of the Misrak Beauty Salon on the same block.
Expect classic Ethiopian cuisine with menu items that showcase meat (chicken, beef, lamb), lentils and vegetables, all served with spongy injera bread. Consider a honey wine for a traditional drink pairing.
