Premier Meat Pies

A newcomer to the downtown waterfront, Premier Meat Pies is a bakery and British and Australian eatery that's opened its doors on Pier 54 at 1001 Alaskan Way.
This spot has savory meat pies, sweet fruit pies, sides and combo platters. Check out savory options like the Curry Lamb Pie with roasted lamb, peas, carrots, corn and onion, or the Scottish Pie with ground beef, oats and traditional seasonings. Sweet pies include apple peach cobbler and chocolate banana bread pudding. Here is the menu.
Queen City

Head over to 2201 First Ave. in Belltown and you'll find Queen City, a new cocktail bar and traditional American restaurant that sources its fare locally by collaborating with local purveyors. It comes courtesy of Linda Derschang of Linda's Tavern and Oddfellows.
Starters include a meat and cheese board, a classic Caesar salad and fries with aioli. Look for main dishes like mussels, steak frites and Parisian gnocchi. Thirsty? A number of wines and signature cocktails are on offer. See the menu here.
Just Poke

Over in Fremont, Just Poke has recently debuted at 744 N. 34th St. The locally based mini-chain now has several locations in the Seattle area.
Customers can build their poke bowl by choosing a base of rice, salad or a combination of both, and then selecting a protein, add-ons and a sauce. Proteins include raw ahi tuna, salmon and scallops, and warm options like seared ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp and octopus.
Can't make up your mind? Try a signature bowl from the list of menu options, such as the Dynamite with spicy ahi tuna, shrimp, spicy crab, jalapeños and cucumbers, or the Pike Place with salmon, onion, cucumber, garlic edamame and sesame seeds. Here's the menu.
