Craving açaí bowls? You're in luck: a new eatery has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1055 Metropolitan Ave., Suite A4, in midtown, the new addition is called Frutta Bowls. Part of a nationwide chain, this is its first outpost in Charlotte.
On the menu, offerings include the signature Frutta Bowl, an organic açaí and banana base topped with granola, strawberry, pineapple, kiwi, Nutella, peanut butter, honey and coconut flakes, along with oatmeal, kale and pitaya bowls.

With a 4.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp so far, Frutta Bowls is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Christy C., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 22, wrote, "This place is healthy, quick, reasonably priced and the staff is really friendly. I stopped in to try an açaí bowl at lunch. I got the Frutta sub chia seeds for coconut flakes. It was incredible — I was almost licking the bowl."
Yelper Krystle M. added, “Great new addition to the Midtown Charlotte area. Located next to Zoe's Kitchen, Frutta Bowls is in a great location. They have açaí, pitaya, kale, superfood and oatmeal Bowls. They also have a variety of smoothies.”
