Interested in trying some new fitness spots around Fort Worth? You're in luck: we've found a lineup of places to fill the bill. Here are the newest places to check out the next time you're searching for a new place to get in a good workout.

CrossFit Westwood

608 S. Jennings Ave.

CrossFit Westwood is a new circuit training gym that is fully air conditioned and features showers, changing rooms and a lounge for members to use before or after a workout.

It has membership plans, plus a one-day free pass for those looking to try it out. (See the schedule of workouts here.)  

With a five-star Yelp rating out of seven reviews, CrossFit Westwood has been getting positive attention.

Isaac C., who reviewed the new gym on Sept. 12, wrote, "CrossFit Westwood has brand-new equipment, showers, excellent location and a fun, family-like atmosphere that makes one want to come back everyday. Whether you are a Fort Worth native or just looking for a place to drop in, look no further."

Yelper Kayla A. added, “The environment at CrossFit Westwood makes you look forward to waking up at 5 a.m.! The coach, Matt, is super dedicated to making sure everyone in his class understands the movements and helps you progress further than you thought possible."

Orangetheory Fitness

Orangetheory Fitness is a gym and personal training spot. This is the chain's fourth location in Fort Worth.

The studio offers hourlong workout sessions split into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. It has heart rate monitors that track your individual intensity and help you track calories burned. The gym offers a free class for first-timers. (See its schedule of classes here.)

With a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp, Orangetheory Fitness is getting solid feedback.

Yelper Cozzette H., who reviewed the business on Sept. 17, wrote, "I like all the coaches. They are all different personalities. It's a great mix of people. I don't feel too old or too young: everyone is nice and they seem to do a great job remembering everyone's name, which truly impressed me."

Christina T. noted, "This place is great! I'm excited to work out again. All of the coaches truly care about the workout of each member. I've had my form corrected on numerous occasions and all questions answered."

The new gym has yet to post its hours online.

Pilates VIP

Pilates VIP is a new Pilates and personal training spot that's located within Dana's Studio of Dance in Keller. Taught by Valerie Lucas, who is a certified Pilates instructor, Pilates VIP offers private sessions and group mat classes.  

With a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp, Pilates VIP has been getting positive attention.

Tierney K., who reviewed the fitness studio on July 7, wrote, "I was nervous to try Pilates, but Valerie made me feel so comfortable. She is the best! Her love for Pilates really shows in her teaching. I could not have asked for a better experience."

Yelper Shalyn L. added, “Valerie's passion for Pilates is evident through her well-planned sessions, her attention to detail and her enthusiasm for each client's individual progress. No matter where you are in your health and fitness journey, Valerie's keen eye can help you reach your goals."

Pilates VIP is open from 6 a.m.–8 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 3–8 p.m. on Wednesday, and 9 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
