A new bakery has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 7501 35th Ave. NE in Wedgewood, the new addition is called Grand Central Bakery.
On the menu, Grand Central Bakery offers breakfast, seasonal and classic sandwiches prepared with locally sourced ingredients. You'll also have ample view of its bakers making fresh baked goods every morning.
Try its basil egg salad sandwich with local pasture-raised eggs, sun-dried tomato, mayonnaise, onions, lettuce and Kalamata olives, or the curried chicken salad with crisp apple, fresh curry spices and lemon-mayo dressing.
With a 3.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has made a promising start.
Elisabeth L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 20, wrote, "Had a tasty soy latte and the sesame currant loaf is delicious ... I'll definitely be going back."
And Kanoe N. wrote, "Amazing customer service, and delicious baked goods. I can't wait to try out more of the menu."
