Uptown Hophouse

Uptown Hophouse is a sports bar lined with televisions that offers a number of small plates and snacks along with its 24 tap beers.

Most of Uptown's taps are native to the Pacific Northwest and include the pFriem hefeweizen from Hood River, Oregon; the Jellyfish Smack IPA from Seattle; and the Fresh Hop Ale from Bellevue. Hungry? Look for bibimbap short rib tacos or a grilled cheese sandwich with smoked cheddar, pepper jack and white cheddar. Check out the full menu here.

Uptown Hophouse currently holds four stars out of eight reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Yelper Carol Ann A., who reviewed it on Sept. 9, wrote, "Great spot for fantasy football players. They play the sound of the game on game days. A true sports bar. Had several games playing all at once on big TVs. Not a bad view in the house."

Uptown Hophouse is open from 2 p.m.–midnight daily.

Broadfork Cafe

Broadfork Cafe is a vegan eatery that is serving up sandwiches, salads, soups and more. This is the second location for Broadfork, which also has an outpost in the University District. 

Expect healthful fare such as the Teriyaki Kelp Bowl with baby greens, mixed veggies and miso sauce; the Veggie Kick Burrito with roasted red peppers, carrots, yams, onions, black beans, avocado and kale; and the Broadfork Salad complete with kale, lemon chia dressing, carrots and cherry tomatoes.

Wash it all down with freshly squeezed juice or a smoothie like the Chocolate PB with banana, peanut butter, maple, hemp milk and salt. Here's the menu.

With four stars out of eight reviews on Yelp, Broadfork Cafe is off to a promising start.

Broadfork Cafe is open from 7 a.m.–9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on weekends.

Coreo Fitness

Coreo Fitness is a dance studio and cardio class spot that focuses on fitness with bungees. On its website, Coreo describes the house staple bungee workout as a "must-try cardio-blasting, core-strengthening and low impact workout" that synchronizes bungee techniques with music.

Yelpers are excited about Coreo Fitness, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of four reviews on the site.

Aaron A., who reviewed the studio on Aug. 8, wrote, "Great alternative workout! Bungee workouts apparently originated in Thailand, and Coreo Fitness is one of only four studios in the U.S. to practice it."

Yelper Sitara M. wrote, "Tried out the bungee workout today and wow! It was super fun! And a great workout. Our trainer Victoria was great. I liked that the size of the group wasn't too big and everyone got individual attention."

Koku Cafe + Market

Koku Cafe + Market features Japanese-inspired eats and Asian pantry staples. Expect caffeinated beverages and sweet and savory breakfast and lunch dishes.

Notable menu options include blueberry peach tea cakes and koji buttermilk biscuits for breakfast and mirin-soaked chicken served with sweet sake over rice, sautéed mixed mushrooms, cucumber wakame and togarashi carrot slaw for lunch. A variety of sandwiches are also on offer.

Yelpers are excited about Koku Cafe + Market, which currently holds five stars out of 12 reviews on the site.

Wistar K. noted, "Gochchang Brewed Pork Bowl and Goat Cheese Grilled Sandwich: both were delicious!"

Richard S., added, "Tasty and eclectic Japanese-inspired cafe on Queen Anne hill. They still carry the excellent Rooibus tea from when the years it was the Cederberg Tea House, but now it's a creative selection of Japanese-style teas and light dishes."

Koku Cafe + Market is open from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on Tuesday-Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
