Hungry? A new downtown Mediterranean spot has you covered. Located at 999 18th St. in Denver Place, the fresh arrival is called Mila. It's the latest restaurant concept from the Kevin Taylor Restaurant Group.

The interior has a color palette of turquoise, lemon and sand, evocative of the Mediterranean, with a 16-seat bar, 48-seat wine cellar and a 100-seat outdoor patio.

On the menu, you'll find dishes like the seared halibut with asparagus, fingerling potatoes, poached pears and a port wine reduction; the rotisserie chicken with house frites, braised shallots, watercress and roasted romesco; and the Aspen Ridge short rib with cauliflower mash, haricot verts, beets, mustard seeds and red grape verjus. (See the full menu here.)

With a four-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, Mila has gotten a good response.

Nicole H., who was among the first to review it on Sept. 25, wrote, "My group had a fantastic experience for dinner. The menu was inventive and the flavor profiles were on point! Desserts were beautiful and delicious. It is a must-try new restaurant!"

Sean D. noted, "The staff is incredibly friendly and personable. ... Bartender was great and the manager was fantastic. They both went through the menu and explained the dishes and the ones they enjoyed the most."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Mila is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekdays. (It's closed on weekends.)
