
Poke fans, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. Located at 4502 S. Steele St. , the fresh arrival is called Mix Poke Bar.
The new restaurant serves the traditional Hawaiian dish, poke, which is prepared with fresh ingredients every day. Create any bowl size and combination from a list of proteins, sauces and toppings that include salmon, spicy tuna, pickled ginger and edamame.
Mix Poke Bar has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.
Kevin S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct.16, wrote, "It was simple and delicious, just how I like it. I got a regular poke bowl with tako, ahi, the house shoyu sauce, a scoop of crab, seaweed salad, ginger and wasabi on the top. Service was welcoming and knowledgeable."
Yelper Deven C. added, " I was born and raised in Hawaii and this is the best poke place by far, out here in Washington."
