A new axe throwing spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Stumpy's Hatchet House, the new addition is located at 758 Isom Road.
Stumpy's offers 12 throwing pits, free WiFi, a woodshed party room, buckets of ice and giant Jenga. Beer and wine can be brought from home and food can be purchased on the premises, according to the website.
The fresh arrival has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp.
Kathy H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 9, wrote, "Stumpy's is the fourth axe throwing place I have been to this year, and it was by far my favorite location. The guys were very nice and helpful ... Definitely did not disappoint!"
Yelper Alta C. added, “Hatchet throwing is my new favorite pastime and it's all thanks to Stumpy's. Combine a great staff, a cute/manly decorated spot, good music, a super fun activity ... and you've got an awesome new spot for date night, girls day out, work or birthday parties and therapy.”
Head on over to check out the "axe-tion": While it may be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Stumpy's Hatchet House is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday, 2 p.m. to midnight on Saturday and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
