A new contemporary French eatery has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Morin, the new arrival is located at 1600 15th St. in Lower Downtown, in the space formerly occupied by Wazee Supper Club.

Choose from several hors d'oeuvres, including the poireau panisse, which is a garlic and chickpea fritter. For entrees, the restaurant offers seafood, like oysters and the poached lobster with a sweet corn pain perdu, or meat dishes such as the grilled duck breast with mushroom pate. Morin has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.

Heather B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 11, wrote, "There is a lot to love here. The service was sincere and friendly, not stuffy, super helpful and very attentive. The drinks were fast. The place is cool, doesn't take itself too seriously. The entrees stole the show!"

Yelper Allison D. added, “So far, everything I've noshed on has been delectable. The hors d'oeuvres are the perfect small bite to start off one's meal. Besides the phenomenal food, the vibe here is on point. Cool bar, swanky booths and lounge seating."
