There's a brand-new wine bar in town: The Foxcroft Wine Co. is a fresh arrival located at 631 S. Main St.
The former Brazwells Premium Pub location has been restored to the original bones — hundred-year-old hardwoods, exposed brick and all, according to the Greenville Journal.
Multi-level shelves stacked four bottles deep create walls dividing the space into four areas – retail, semi-private wine room, main dining, and a smaller back section.
Foxcroft offers a charcuterie board of imported cured meats and cheeses is a perfect wine accompaniment, there are plenty of other options whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, or omnivore. Chef Justin Solomon, who heads up the Greenville kitchen, says he keeps the ingredients as local as possible.
With a 4.5-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, Foxcroft Wine Co. is getting solid feedback from clientele.
Angela C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 28, wrote, "When I first walked in here, I was shocked by the immense change from the restaurant that was previously here ... You walk in now and this place just screams class ... Their menu offers wines from all over the world - Spain, France, South America, you name it."
And Linda P. wrote, "We opted for roasted oysters, mushroom flatbread, roasted Brussels sprouts and a large charcuterie tray. Each was phenomenal. The Brussels sprouts were my absolute favorite and I'll go back just for those ... The charcuterie tray had olives, at least three cheeses, sausage, prosciutto, flatbread, garbanzos and more ... Their dishes are made in house, fresh and delicious."
