A new spot to score poke has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The newcomer, called Poke Central, is located at 1130 N. Loop 1604 West, Suite 101.
The modern, quick-service eatery allows you to build your own bowl. You first pick your base (white rice, brown rice, organic spring mix or zucchini noodles), then either two or three scoops of protein (tuna, shrimp, salmon or tofu) and finally your sauce and toppings. (See the entire list of options here.)
With a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp so far, Poke Central is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Barbara C., who reviewed it on Oct. 15, said, "I ordered the large bowl with spring mix, tuna and the house sauce. It was delicious, and the tuna tasted fresh. The place looks amazing and everyone is so friendly."
Yelper PJ T. noted, "My bowl was delicious and so filling! I'm on a low carb diet, so I was super excited when I saw zucchini noodles as an option for the base."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Poke Central is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Thursday and Sunday, and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
