A new eatery has opened up shop along the downtown waterfront. Located at 1001 Alaskan Way at Pier 54, the new arrival is called Premier Meat Pies.
This spot has savory meat pies, sweet fruit pies, sides and combo platters. Look for savory options like the Chicken Pie with peas, carrots, corn, celery and onions or the Guinness Irish Stew Pie with steak, Guinness beer, potatoes, carrots and onions. Sweet pies include apple peach cobbler and cherry berry pie.
Really hungry? Opt for the Combo #2 with choice of any pie and two sides (Caesar salad, chili bowl, mashed potatoes or loaded mashed potatoes). Here is the menu.
With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, Premier Meat Pies has been warmly received by patrons.
Felicia D., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 30, wrote, "I was definitely a little afraid when I heard the term 'meat pies,' but this place is amazing! Think of personal-sized pot pies, but with different varieties of delicious fillings."
And Isaiah S. wrote, "Stopped in for dessert and coffee on a rainy Sunday evening. The chocolate banana bread pudding pie Elvis-style is amazing! The atmosphere is calm and cool."
