Looking for some high-end New American fare? A new spot has you covered. The newcomer to Georgetown, called Reverie, is located at 3201 Cherry Hill Lane.

Chef Johnny Spero, whose resume includes Minibar, Komi and Columbia Room, has opened this ingredient-focused fine dining restaurant five years after his first attempt at the helm, Suna, went under, Washington City Paper reports.

A recent sample menu includes starters made from simple ingredients creatively combined, such as raw scallops with buttermilk and dill, or celery root with lemon balm, caramelized carrot juice and coconut. Main dishes run from a carefully constructed burger with miso pickles and a smoked sauce, to a roast duck for two with black licorice, fennel and beet.

The new arrival has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Allen M., who reviewed the new spot on Oct. 24, wrote, "First of all, the team is fantastic. The space is beautiful and incredibly well built — very high attention to detail. The menu and cocktail program are innovative and delicious. My new favorite restaurant in D.C."

And Kaley W. wrote, "Reverie provides the option for a hearty meal at an affordable pace that puts forth an equally delicious dinner. The menu is refined and curated to tailor both to the needs that the area has, and the price point that is applicable and reasonable for the area."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Reverie is open from 5–10 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday. (It's closed on Monday and Sunday.)
