Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best affordable Chinese restaurants around San Antonio, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture when cravings strike.
1. T Jin's China Diner

Topping the list is T Jin's China Diner. Located at 20835 U.S. Route 281 North, Suite 502, it's the highest-rated budget-friendly Chinese restaurant in San Antonio, boasting 4.5 stars out of 129 reviews on Yelp.
On the menu, look for affordable Chinese dishes like Hunan beef with broccoli, bell peppers, carrots and baby corn in a spicy black bean sauce; Sichuan pork with bell peppers, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots in a spicy garlic sauce; and the kung pao shrimp with peanuts in spicy brown sauce served over broccoli.
Yelper Toni Lynn P., who reviewed it on Sept. 29, wrote, "The food is awesome. My favorite is the amazing chicken and shrimp. Large portions, always enough for another meal. The service is wonderful, very attentive. You won't be disappointed."
2. Lucky Noodle

Lucky Noodle, located at 8525 Blanco Road in Greater Harmony Hills, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the inexpensive Asian fusion and Chinese spot, which offers noodles and more, four stars out of 231 reviews.
The menu has options like the twice-cooked pork belly, hand-pulled noodle soup with beef, marinated pig ears, fried lamb with cumin and pan-fried dumplings, among others.
Yelp reviewer YL S. said, "Authentic Chinese noodle soup, great portions and generous in both content and flavor. I love the beef chunks in the soup. They are tasty and tender."
3. China Inn

Finally, check out China Inn, which has earned four stars out of 196 reviews on Yelp. Dig in at the Chinese spot by heading over to 2241 N.W. Military Highway.
On the menu, you'll see dishes such as the Peking-style pork chops, ribs with black mushrooms, Imperial Chicken, crispy duck, eggplant with garlic sauce and hoisin shrimp. (See the full menu here.)
Derek B. wrote, "This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to. We started with the Pu Pu Platter, which was very delicious; the egg rolls were our favorite. For our entrees, we had the Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken and chicken lo mein. Everything was perfectly seasoned."
