Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top high-end seafood hot spots in San Antonio, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture when cravings strike.

1. Boudro's on the River Walk

Topping the list is Boudro's on the River Walk. Located downtown at 421 E. Commerce St., the New American restaurant is the most popular high-end seafood spot in San Antonio, boasting four stars out of 1,937 reviews on Yelp. Open since 1986, Boudro's features an extensive selection of wines and seating along the River Walk.

If you go there seeking seafood, you'll find dishes like the yellowfin tuna served with smashed potato cakes and citrus tomato fennel chutney; the herb-crusted fish fillet with Israeli couscous and West Coast mushrooms; and the wood-grilled Atlantic salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. Yelper Greg G., who reviewed it on Oct. 3, wrote, "I ordered the lobster empanada and was pleasantly surprised. It was presented perfectly plated. The lobster cooked perfectly. Honestly the best lobster I have ever had and the empanada was filled with cheesy goodness that would make a Wisconsin dairy farmer blush."

2. Eddie V's Prime Seafood

Next up is Eddie V's Prime Seafood, situated at 1834 N. Loop 1604 West. With 4.5 stars out of 432 reviews on Yelp, the steakhouse and lounge, which offers seafood and more, has proven to be a local favorite for those looking to indulge.

The upscale nationwide chain offers dishes such as Chilean sea bass (steamed Hong Kong-style with a light soy broth); swordfish steak with jumbo lump crab, avocado, cilantro and red chile; and Parmesan-crusted sole with heirloom tomato salad. (See the full menu here.)

Yelp reviewer Kara H. said, "Great service and food. The crab fried rice and broccolini were so tasty. The lobster was amazing. And the bananas Foster dessert was such a great ending."

3. Bohanan's Prime Steak and Seafood

Downtown's Bohanan's Prime Steak and Seafood, located at 219 E. Houston St., Floor 2, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the restaurant four stars out of 644 reviews.

On the menu, you'll find seafood dishes like the Hawaiian bigeye sashimi tuna with sundried tomato and olive tapenade; the Mero sea bass served with a shrimp and tomato broth, sautéed mushrooms, peppers, carrots and fennel; and the macadamia-encrusted Gulf red snapper with a candied orange butter sauce. 4. Perry's Steakhouse & Grille

Perry's Steakhouse & Grille, a traditional American spot that offers seafood and more, is another pricey go-to, with four stars out of 359 Yelp reviews. It has more than a dozen restaurants in Texas alone. Head over to 15900 La Cantera Parkway, Suite 22200, to try it for yourself. 

Seafood dishes include the chargrilled salmon with lemon dill butter and cauliflower mousse; the crispy skin wild red snapper with chive whipped potatoes and truffle vinaigrette; and the pan-seared sea bass served with creamy corn and red pepper coulis. (See the full menu here.)

5. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

FInally, check out Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, which has earned four stars out of 219 reviews on Yelp. Treat yourself at the local outpost of the nationwide chain by heading over to 255 E. Basse Road.

On the menu, seafood offerings include barbecue Scottish salmon fillet with mushrooms; miso-glazed Chilean sea bass sautéed with sesame-orange spinach and arugula; and king crab legs.

Natalie M. wrote, "The perfect upscale steakhouse without being too stuffy. Waitress was attentive and charming and the other waitstaff checked on us frequently. Husband had the bone-in ribeye and I had king crab legs, both outstanding."
