Susheria is a new Japanese-Peruvian restaurant in Georgetown. It replaces Maté Lounge in the same location and is from the same owners.

The food here marries South American and Japanese sensibilities. Maki rolls include rice, fish and such Peruvian hallmarks as leche de tigre sauce, chimichurri and aji chili sauces. Likewise, Japanese rice bowls feature Peruvian lomo saltado or chile-and-honey chicken.

Cocktails and sake are among the drink options.

With a 4.5-star Yelp rating out of three reviews, Susheria has been getting positive attention.

Krysta G., who reviewed the restaurant on Oct. 5, wrote, "The space was beautiful and comfortable with gorgeous chandeliers throughout. Everything we ordered was delicious and gorgeously presented. The cocktails were also quite tasty and perfectly balanced."

Yelper Mana N. added, “The ambiance: It's sophisticated and romantic! Recently remodeled and added gorgeous chandeliers, I'm pretty sure it will soon be a hot spot for young professionals. And the food, in short, is to die for.”

Susheria is open from 4 p.m.–12:30 a.m. on Monday-Thursday and 4 p.m.–1:30 a.m. on Friday-Sunday.

Luwich Cafe is another new entry to the D.C. food scene. It offers inexpensive Vietnamese food, including banh mi sandwiches and noodle bowls. Both are available with choice of grilled beef or pork, lemongrass chicken or tofu, or barbecue pork belly.

The eatery is also open for breakfast with a mostly American-style morning menu, including eggs, bacon and pancakes.

Pair your meal with a Vietnamese iced coffee, sweetened with condensed milk.

With a five-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp, Luwich Cafe is off to a strong start.

Yelper Lynn P., who reviewed the eatery on Sept. 21, wrote, "There aren't too many places you can get banh mi in D.C., and I'll have to say the banh mis from Luwich are the best I've had in the district. Customer service was amazing, as Jojo offered me a Vietnamese coffee when I came in to pick up my order."

Yelper Lynn N. wrote, "What a delicious addition to the neighborhood. I was advised by longtime Hill residents I'd have to go to the suburbs for banh mi and other Vietnamese food, but I'm glad I discovered this newcomer to the area. Great food, friendly and attentive service."

Luwich Cafe is open from 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)

Finally, there's Momo's Cafe, a Taiwanese spot in the Palisades.

Entrees include beef noodle soup and minced braised pork over rice. Whatever you order, get it alongside appetizers like popcorn chicken, Taiwanese sausage or basil french fries. Wash it all down with one of the many teas, including milk and boba tea. For dessert, there's honey toast with a scoop of ice cream.

Momo's Cafe's current rating of 4.5 stars out of 25 reviews on Yelp indicates positive feedback from diners.

Yelper Duyu C., who visited the restaurant on Sept. 22, wrote, "What a great addition to the neighborhood. Fast, inexpensive, in a cozy but comfortable space. They also have takeout and are open late. ... Everything we ate was fresh, interesting and excellent. The service was quick and attentive."

Yelper Ann C. wrote, "The bubble tea was very good; boba were nice and chewy. The dumplings were tasty: nicely crunchy but not overdone."

Momo's Cafe is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m. on Friday, 11:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday.
