If you're craving bubble tea and savory bites in Elk Grove, a new business is need-to-know. Called Elif Tea Cafe, the recent arrival is located at 9171 Elk Grove Florin Road (at Bond Road), Suite 3, and has dressed up its interior with stickers and posters of anime and video game characters.
On the menu, signature drinks include the Uyghur sea salt milk tea, lychee iced tea and passion fruit smoothie. Customers can choose from 10 toppings, like pineapple, grass jelly and coconut jelly, as well as plain boba. (You can check out the full drinks menu here.)
For bites, there are bowls of chicken over noodles or rice, and sandwiches with chicken, beef or veggies. The shop is currently offering a buy-one-get-one promotion on its tea drinks for its grand opening.
The new cafe has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 18 reviews on Yelp.
"This place is really cool if you like anime or cartoons," wrote Aubrein D., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 7. "They use organic homemade sugar in all of their drinks which is a plus! The guy who works there is super nice."
Yelper Leyna T. added, “The drinks are way less sweet than most other milk tea places, so if you don't like sweet drinks this place is right up your alley!”
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Elif Tea Cafe is open from 10 a.m.–9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 2:30 p.m.–10 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on weekends. (It's closed on Monday.)
