A new bakery is open for business in Milwaukee. The newcomer, called Small Pie, is located at 2504 E. Oklahoma Ave.

Small Pie is the latest addition for the PIE Inc. team, after its sister cafés Honeypie and Palomino, the company writes on its website.

At Small Pie, the pastries are baked daily from scratch. Look for the savory hand pies made with a buttery crust and an assortment of fillings, from pork Cuban to Greek-style Spanakopita.

The new bakery has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of 19 reviews on Yelp.

Laura K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Sept. 13, wrote, "You can tell this is the sister restaurant to Honeypie because the baked goods are incredible. My vegetarian friend loved their salad options, and I tried a savory hand pie."

And Emily V. wrote, "I decided on the veggie parmesan pie. The crust was flaky and buttery. Inside there were potatoes, squash, and, of course, parmesan. It was warm, flavorful and just the right size."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Small Pie is open from 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sundays.
